Artist's CommentsMy part of the project "Inner Spirit" of *collab-da I'm copying one of my teammates description since she explained it really good. Masked dancers have a great importance in many original african cultures - the dance is a relevant medium to participate in the forces of nature. The dance makes the unity with the spiritual world possible. The masks constitute the identification with the represented spirit. During the dance, the dancer provides his own personality for being able to transfer the energy of the respresented god or spirit - for some time, he will 'become' this spirit. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
